On Monday, the Copper River District was only marginally better than the first 2 rounds of fishing. There were a few more Sockeye caught, but nowhere near the numbers needed or expected to cover demand. As of today, there has been 700 Lbs. of H&G Sockeye secured and set to fly out of Alaska and arrive into Detroit Wednesday night, for trucks to pick-up Thursday morning. No word yet on the next opening, the thought is that they will wait again until Friday – Saturday to open again.
