The California growing region experienced unprecedented heat over this past weekend, temperatures in the fields were over 100 degrees for multiple days. This has impacted all Berries from this growing area, which is the main area for Strawberries, Raspberries and Blackberries.

The vegetable crops have been impacted as well. Some of the items that will show potential issues are: Broccoli, Celery, Cauliflower, and Lettuces. Leaf lettuces (Romaine, Romaine Hearts) and Head Lettuce will show more potential for quality concerns due to the stress the plants are under in this heat wave.
