Fresh Sockeye Salmon

This year’s sockeye run has been abnormal at best, which can seem like a total bust in many vendors eyes. Unfortunately, fish are just not showing up this year as expected, even with being the top of the list for the truckloads. The clear majority of sockeye being harvested is being used as frozen since the processors believe the fish has become more valuable to them this way versus selling fresh currently. It is looking like the prediction of a late start to this year’s run is turning into the fish simply just not showing up at all. So, looking into the future, it may be wise to suggest switching over to ReFreshed fillets for the remainder of this year
